We were delighted to welcome Rachel, a paediatric surgeon and volunteer with Mercy Ships, to Trinity today.
Rachel came to tell us more about the work of Mercy Ships, which is our Charity of the Year. Their hospital ships provide safe, free surgery to people in parts of Africa who would otherwise have little or no access to surgical care.
Mercy Ships follows the 2,000-year-old example of Jesus, bringing hope and healing to some of the world’s forgotten poor.
Rachel gave us an insight into the work, and was given a well-deserved round of applause.
