Trinity Junior Church gathered in the North Transept this week to make stars and garlands as we began our Advent journey together.

During the service, led by Revd Pauline Main, the first Advent candle was lit. This candle is traditionally associated with the patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – and the matriarchs – Sarah, Rebekah, and Rachel.
Though far from perfect, these ancestors of our faith lived with a readiness to notice God at work in the world. Their openness invites us to do the same. In this Advent season, we are called to wait with hopeful expectation, attentive to God’s voice and prepared to respond when God calls.

Advent devotions will be available each day from December 1st at the link below: https://trinityabingdon.org.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Advent-Devotional-2025.pdf
