Tabitha lit the third Advent Candle as her husband, Revd Ian, led the service and gave a warm Trinity welcome. Both church boilers were working, and the church was warm despite sub-zero temperatures outside.
The JAM (Jesus and Me) group performed a nativity scene with the Inn Keeper’s sleep interrupted time after time as a couple asked for a place to stay, and then other visitors wanted to find the baby, Jesus.
We welcomed a new member who has moved to Abingdon and transferred her membership to Trinity.
Revd. Ian preached on the coming of Jesus to a world where war and want continue as in Judea, circa 4 BC. Then we shared Communion, a tangible link, to the Jesus who celebrated the last supper and came to show the way to God.
