Trinity is taking its first steps toward becoming an Eco Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eco Church is a national awards scheme run by A Rocha UK that encourages and equips churches to care for God\u2019s creation in practical and meaningful ways. Through a self-assessment survey, churches explore how they can protect the environment across five key areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worship & Teaching \u2013 incorporating themes of creation care into our prayers and services<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buildings & Energy \u2013 reducing our carbon footprint and using resources wisely<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Land & Nature \u2013 supporting wildlife and biodiversity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community & Global Engagement \u2013 partnering locally and globally for climate justice<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lifestyle \u2013 helping our church family make sustainable everyday choices<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By taking actions in these areas, churches earn points toward Bronze, Silver, and Gold Eco Church awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the scheme launched in 2016, Eco Church has grown rapidly and is supported by Christian Aid, the Church of England, the Methodist Church, the United Reformed Church and the Benefact Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trinity is joining this movement, working together with the local Methodist Circuit as they explore becoming an Eco Circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
